Sometimes, your guests will arrive an hour or so before the entertainment for the day really kicks off. Breaking the ice is a fundamental part of any party, particularly where there are family and friends who are meeting for the first time. We’ve listed a few great and fun icebreakers to warm things up at the beginning of any party.
TOILET PAPER ICEBREAKER
This one might seem a little too icebreaker-ey for you, but we still love it so we are sharing it anyway. It’s a great way for your guests to learn interesting tid-bits to remember everybody by.
- Start by gathering guests around in a circle and pass a roll of toilet paper around
- Instruct guests to rip off a length of toilet paper, but don’t explain why
- Once everyone has a section of toilet paper, say that you will go around the room and share interesting facts about yourself
- Guests must share 1 interesting fact per square of toilet paper they ripped off
PIN THE JUNK ON THE HUNK
Unlike the name suggests, you don’t actually need a hunk upon which to pin the junk. A large poster of a sexy man (with the Groom’s face stuck on) makes a perfect substitute.
- Print out a whole lot of cartoon penises and put a square of double-sided sticky tape on the back (alternatively, you can purchase penis stickers especially for this)
- Stick a large picture or poster of a hunk to the wall
- One by one, guests will be blindfolded, then spun around a few times
- Guests will place the junk to their lips so that the sticky tape is facing to the poster
- Guests will suck in lightly to ensure that the junk stays against their lips as they put their hands down and are guided to the hunk
- Whoever gets the junk closest to where it will be in real life wins
If you don’t have cut-out penises nearby, a good dose of lipstick and big kiss around the junk area on the poster makes a perfect substitute.
